LYRIC OPERATIC TENOR

Galo Lastra is an Ecuadorian - American lyric operatic tenor from Riverton, UT. He has attracted attention for his beautiful, rich tone, expressive singing, and charming presence on the stages. Mr. Lastra was named as one of the greatest tenors of our generation.

Outside of singing and performing, Mr. Lastra enjoys cooking, attending opera performances, spending time with his family, being a devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and loving his life as a new dad to his daughter, Aria. He is especially grateful to his wonderful and beloved wife, Julianna, for her immense support and continuation of love and encouragement.

BIOGRAPHY

Galo Lastra is one of the most beloved tenors of our time and one of the greatest prodigies in the world. The American-Ecuadorian tenor is loved and acclaimed not only for his dark, melodic, and charming voice, but also for the way he connects to the music he sings. Mr. Lastra is committed to becoming the greatest concert tenor in this generation and for generations to come.

Since his debut in concert for Utah Vocal Arts Academy in July 2019, Lastra has been performing all around Utah and will soon be performing internationally, making his debut in other countries around the world.

Lastra is being taught and mentored by renowned baritone, Christopher Holmes He has been training with him since August, 2024. He has made great progress and is well on his way to become one of the greatest tenors of our time.

Galo Lastra is best known for performing and competing in opera competitions. In Europe, he won second place in the Music and Stars Awards in December 2020, and he also won second place in the Kings Peak International Music Competition, captivating both the judges and the audience. He will soon be performing internationally in galas and concerts with renowned orchestras as he continues to take the world of opera by storm. He has currently sung with orchestras such as Utah Philharmonic Orchestra, Draper Philharmonic and Choral Society, Provo Community Orchestra, Utah Valley Chamber Orchestra and renowned singers such as, Christopher Holmes, Clara Hurtado Lee, Alex Sharpe, and Isaac Hurtado.

Mr. Lastra when not singing is a devoted father, husband to his sweetheart, Julianna, member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and enjoys going to concerts and spending time with family and loved ones. He resides in Riverton, Utah.
